Dear students
See below message from Keith Andrews:
In the preparation of your AT3.2 part one submissions could you ensure that not only is the basic research undertaken and documented, (to address the issues in the brief pertaining to , geology, evolution of synergy, solar, wind load, and water), but could you interpret it , outlining it’s significance in informing your design approach.
Regards
Keith Andrews

Please be in the studio at 10.00. Try to achieve a design during the course of the day, or try to understand what shortages of information are preventing you from doing so. Bring tracing or grease-proof paper and drawing materials. Enjoy colour. Bridget and Simon will be in Hull and we can use both spaces.
During the lunch hour, see "2 1/2 Drawing" at the Vernon Street premises of Leeds College of Art and Design. Opposite O2Academy. Think about the different ways in which drawing may be defined: the sun draws shadows; the sun draws by fading and weathering the paint on buildings. People draw, unwittingly, by walking on snow or eroding concrete, stone or grass.
Steven Morant has to give an AC1.2 Lecture at about 2.45pm. Simon North's plans are uncertain.

On Thursday 11.02.10, in the studio, it is intended that each of the groupmembers should give a 5 minute powerpoint talk on the architectural draughtsman whom he or she has been studying. It is also intended to check progress on the tasks, related to the Addendum "Preparations" which individuals and groups agreed to undertake. During the rest of the day, it will be possible for individual students to discuss their progress and early proposals with the two tutors.
